Sarah moved from the UK to Andalusia in 1993 with a caravan, a horse and a dream. She set up the trekking centre and never returned. Originally from the New Forest, Sarah has mounted horses all her life. She knows the Sierra Nevada foothills like the back of her hand. Passing this knowledge onto experienced riders who in turn guide you on your holiday, she can stay at the ranch and manage the many horses, cats, dogs, chickens, geese, ducks and people who help keep the whole association running smoothly. Sarah lives at the ranch full time with her two teens.
On offer are rides between 2 hours and multi-day excursions into the hills and mountains. Novices and children are most welcome, as are single travellers. For the advanced rider there are challenging trails on offer in the glorious mountain scenery of the Sierra Nevada.
Her Trekking Centre offers horse riding holidays in Spain´s most southern mountain range. The ranch is situated on a small plateau at a height of 1200 meters above Lanjarón, a small town in the Alpujarra region of Andalusia about 28 miles from Granada.
Sara is happy to have the Alpujarras hills and Sierra Nevada mountains on her doorstep. Easy hacks or challenging trail rides, there is something here for all tastes. Sara has a varied choice of rides from 2 hours to a 8 day trail rides high in the mountains.

Its from all the horseback riding I have done in my life (Equador, Mexico, Guatemala etc.) The most beautiful scenery to go in with your horse. And the place is so pure high in the mountains, the girls helping so good and warm. Yes it’s unbelievable loving energy in an unbelievable scenery with great horses!
Highly recommended
Lucy
Her horses are well looked after. They all have their own personality. The trek rides were brilliant, thrilling and fun. The views are amazing. I’m an experienced rider but I still learnt a lot being there for that week.
Truly memorable
Guy
From start to finish I had the most awesome of awesomest experiences! Great people, beautiful scenery and amazing horses (and dogs)…(not so much the geese!) Thank you all so much for making my holiday truly memorable.

A real dream come true
Netty
We had the most amazing three day trail ride high into the mountains and a rather challenging downhill decent into the valley on the forth day ride out on the best horses we have ever ridden, so sure footed and well kept. Thanks for the great ride
Mel
There is no better way to explore the beautiful landscape! The horses are satisfied and reliable. As a longtime rider, I felt like real experts care about horse and riders here.
