Santiago loves horses and rides for years trails in the mountains and along the beach of Mijas not far from the famous resorts Fuenjirola and Malaga. He has a number of apartments in town for rent he has restored in the original style. Santiago is not only a charming and very nice host but an excellent companion on your travels. He speaks Spanish well enough English and almost always has a "foreign" trainee who helps him.

This is the ideal place from which his horse rides are organised on one side the coast and the beaches in the summer, and on the other, discover the mountains around Mijas. Each apartment has a double bedroom, bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen. The linen is changed every three days. Beside the house is a small bar which belonges to his sister and there are several (cheap) restaurants in the neighbourhood where you can get for around 10 euros a full menu including drinks.
The house has no pool but there is a beautiful municipal pool in the village.

There can also be made short trips of 2 to 3 hours a day so you can have a swim in the afternoon or explore the town and the surrounding area.
Multi-day tours of 2-3 days in the mountains and to the beach (in the off season from October to Easter) are also possible.
Where is it?
Mijas is a cozy white tourist town with many narrow streets and shops in the mountains of southern Spain, between Malaga and Marbella. It has a history that goes back to Roman times, it was called Tamisa and was conquered by the Muslims in 714 and reconquered by the Christians in 1487. It is now a lively town with many shops, restaurants and bars. For lovers of culture, you can go to the famous tourist spots such as Malaga (about 20 minutes) with the Picasso museum and the old town; Seville and Cordoba (about 2 hours) with its famous cathedral or Granada (about 2 hours) with the Alhambra and the gypsy quarter.
