Rafa / Alpujarras and Cuba

The owner and guide, Rafael is a political science graduate who preferred the peace rafael-1of a small village in the mountains to the hustle and bustle of his home city, Madrid. He moved to the Alpujarras more than twenty years ago, where he started his horse-riding adventure. An entertaining and charming man who is fluent in Spanish, French and English, he will ensure you enjoy a wonderful riding holiday.

Sierra Nevada and la Alpujarras
With its rich variety of landscapes and consistently beautiful scenery, La Alpujarras, situated on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, offers some of the most spectacular horse riding countryside in Europe. The proximity of the Mediterranean and the altitude, gives the region very diverse microclimates, flora and geological formations. As a result riding through this ever changing landscape is an unforgettable experience.Expertly led week long horse riding holidays (6 days 7 nights) and short breaks (3 days, 4 nights) through the Sierra Nevada National and Natural Parks. The rides run from March through to November and are designed to explore as much as possible of these unique and captivating lands.

Our main activity is horse-riding. We organise rides by the hour and, particularly, treks of several days on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. We also run incentive trips for companies, including mixed programs in jeep and on horseback, picnics and visits to the most interesting places in the area such as museums, artisans’ workshops, wine bodegas and Serrano ham curing establishments.

For groups with a minimum of 4 people, we offer tailored treks to suit your preferences. Do not hesitate to contact us in order to let us know the type of route you are interested in.
