Jesús / Cádiz

Jesús was born in 1976 in Cadiz. Since his childhood he has been working with horses, among other things, as a cattle driver (cowboy). It was in 2014 when he started to use his passion for horses and the nature around him for tourism. He started riding routes with tourists of 1 or 2 hours and in 2017 he decided to start his own company in the field of horse tourism and he also started offering multi-day tours. Jesus, with a good sense of humour is a confident guide and host. He is friendly with a sense of adventure.
As he was born in this area he knows the bridleways and trails and is able to take you to all the beautiful places. He can also tell you about the history and wildlife of the area. You will enjoy two Natural Parks. The Alcornocales Natural Park contains the biggest and best cared for area of cork oaks in Europe. The Natural Park of the Straits of Gibraltar is where hundreds of millions of birds cross every year on their migration between Europe and Africa. The horses, Andalusian and Hispano-Arab, are friendly and committed. They are very well looked after and are completely trustworthy.

The voyage to Cadiz along the coast seemed full of dangers, due to the continuous attacks of the pirates. But the alternative route in the inland was also not without difficulties.

La Trocha was a horseshoe road, impossible to pass with carriages. The road was used by those who were brave and those who dared to take the road. Because by taking this road they saved a day travelling on their way to Cadiz. Frequented by smugglers it was a complicated crossing because of the time, according to the travelers, any encounter raised suspicions. It is a hidden areas of the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales. You will enjoy one of the most beautiful and wild landscapes of Andalusia. We will also know The Castle of Jimena de la Frontera constituted a defensive element of vital importance in the south-western border of the Nasrid kingdom that was united in the south with Castellar de la Frontera and in the north with Tavizna (Benaocaz)

We will ride along the paths that the smugglers used to take, carrying tobacco and other goods from the coast  to Ronda from where it was distributed throughout Andalucía and Spain

Approximate duration: 5 hours on horseback (three in the morning and two after lunch) Dinner and accommodation in “Hotel la Frotuosa o Similar” in Gaucin

Day 6 Gaucin – Benalauria

That route never disappoints, it is a charming, rough valley, an authentic vegetal mosaic, a lush garden that we have bequeathed thanks to the care and care of its inhabitants, who have wisely managed to exploit its resources without undermining its landscape and natural wealth. Today's route took us through some of the old roads used by the muleteers in their racking to transport the wheat and olives that were milled in the numerous mills installed on the banks of the Genal River.

Day 7 Benalauria-Ronda

The itinerary winds through valleys and slopes following the historic route that, at this point, already penetrates the Serranía de Ronda. The fruit trees and irrigation of the Guadiaro valley give way to the sharp slopes, forested hillsides and bare rocks of the landscape of Gaucín, which stands out like a sparkling spot on a rocky spur. This villa is the southern key of the sierra, the gate that leads to the constellation of small towns that dot the valley of Genal, protected in the lap of the mountains. Indispensable stopover on the route to the interior of al-Andalus of Berbers, Almoravides and Marinids, and after the smugglers and "travelers-tourists" from Gibraltar during

the romantic period, Gaucín is the milestone where it is revealed before our eyes, in all its fullness, the fabulous magnetism of the rondeña region.

Reviews

This spring I attended a team session in which José used a horse for a group of medical specialists; good critical audience. José managed to get the group to work with the horse. What happened was interesting, and it provided material for further discussion in which a number of group themes could be explored. I can wholeheartedly recommend José to anyone who feels like a team session with a horse.

- Maarten Stoffers, Trainer, coach and author of the book Heart Skills -

I can recommend Horse Coaching in general and José in particular. We participated with an international group in horse coaching. We experienced a nice and educational team event. Surprising what we can learn from a horse.

- Jean Wilbers, Project Director Attero -

José has a radiant personality, so she knows how to inspire and motivate people. Within our organization, she has clearly demonstrated this by getting many colleagues actively involved in sports. It ensures that people get the best out of themselves and persevere. At the moment we have various sports clubs (running, mountain bike, triathlon) within VAR that have been created by her and that are achieving real results together. She also works on giving responsibility to colleagues within the working environment and increases solidarity, so that everyone can better achieve his or her rights. A real motivator, inspirator and go-getter! Great as a coach!

- Hannet de Vries-in't Veld, General Manager Veluwse Afval Recycling -
